ROCK HILL –
A Rock Hill man has been arrested in connection with a mob assault earlier this week, police say.
Willis Biggs, 28, has been charged with assault and battery by a mob, according to police documents. He was arrested Wednesday.
On Tuesday evening, officers reported to a block on Booker Washington Street after learning of a fight going on, according to a Rock Hill police report.
A 23-year-old man and 32-year-old pregnant woman were arguing in the street. The two have a child together.
More than 30 people appeared to be in the street during the argument, the report states. As the fight continued, family members on both sides joined the argument.
Biggs and two other men are accused of assaulting the 23-year-old man, the report states. The victim suffered multiple cuts to his head and face and was taken to Piedmont Medical Center.
Officers did not see any injuries to the woman, the report states.
Warrants have been issued for the other two men accused in the assault, according to the report.
