YORK COUNTY –
York County drug agents arrested seven men and seized more than 35 pounds of marijuana in separate drug-related busts this week.
The York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit worked with the U.S. Postal Inspector Office to intercept packages of marijuana delivered to various homes in Rock Hill and Fort Mill Wednesday and Thursday, said drug unit leader Marvin Brown.
On Wednesday, agents watched a Rock Hill home as a package containing about eight pounds of marijuana was delivered, Brown said. Two men — Patrick Seibles, 47, and Bobby Hart, 35, both of Rock Hill — were arrested after they arrived and attempted to take the package.
Each are charged with possession of a controlled substance, attempt and conspiracy and a distributing charge, according to police documents. They are being held on a $57,000 bond.
Inside the home, agents found Devin Hinton, Cadarious Mitchell and Kwmane King, all 19 of Rock Hill, with more marijuana, two guns and crack, Brown said. They face a multitude of charges, including possession of a weapon during a violent crime and several drug-related charges.
In two separate incidents Thursday night, agents also arrested Jesse Alexander, 39, and Anant Bena, 29, both of Rock Hill during more drug package deliveries. Both also had a significant amount of pills, Brown said.
Alexander is charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Oxycodone and Opana. Bena is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and Xanax.
