A Rock Hill man says he was robbed at gunpoint Monday evening while pumping gas at the Exxon gas station near El Cancun Mexican Restaurant.
Around 7 p.m., the victim, 29, said a man wearing a white T-shirt and white shorts approached him and placed a black .38-caliber revolver to his stomach, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The robber reached into the victim’s pockets and took his wallet, which contained $300 and a Visa credit card.
The gunman got into a tan Chevrolet Trailblazer and drove onto Dorchester Avenue, the report states. The victim followed the robber until the gunman started shooting at him.
Witnesses in the area said they heard gunshots come from the intersection of Cherry Road and Dorchester Avenue.
