ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill man is accused of driving drunk with a child in his car.
Around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, police pulled over a Honda Accord because of a seat belt violation. When the driver opened his door, police smelled “strong odor” on the the driver’s breath and noticed his eyes were glassy, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The driver, Jesus Sanchez, 35, of Rock Hill, didn’t have a license and failed several sobriety tests, the report states.
Two passengers were in the vehicle, including a 7-year-old child.
He was charged with child endangerment, driving under the influence, no driver’s license and seat belt violation.
The car was towed and Sanchez was taken to the Rock Hill jail, where he was unable to provide an adequate breath sample, the report states.
