ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill man says a gun-wielding man in his 20s jumped out the bushes, robbed him and stole his truck after he agreed to pick up a friend Friday afternoon.
The man, 38, told police that when he arrived at the 1700 block of Cedar Post Lane in Rock Hill close to 2:30 p.m., his friend asked him to wait for a second. That’s when another man jumped out of some nearby bushes and forced the man out of his truck at gunpoint, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The man complied with the gunman and laid on the ground while the robber got into his truck. The gunman also stole the victim’s wallet, taking $70 along with the man’s truck that police valued at $5,000.
York County sheriff’s deputies soon found the truck on Grandparents Road, off Dunlap Roddey Road, in Rock Hill, the report states.
