ROCK HILL — Police say a Rock Hill woman fought off a man who tried to steal her purse Friday morning.
The woman, 30, told police that as she was leaving her apartment, a man ran up behind her and tried to steal her purse around 7:45 a.m., according to a Rock Hill police report.
During the struggle, the would-be mugger elbowed her in the lip and right eye, the report states. The woman said she was able to kick the man away and run down the stairs.
Police saw a cut on the woman’s lip and a bruise but she was unable to provide to provide much information about the suspect.
