ROCK HILL –

A Rock Hill man was arrested after police caught him tattooing a 15-year-old girl at the Executive Inn.

A woman called police to say her ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Timothy Dwayne Varnadore, took her cell phone and would not return it, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Officers located Varnadore in a room at the Executive Inn at 659 N. Anderson Road. As they opened the door, they could see tattoo equipment scattered around the room. Varnadore told officers he was giving his cousin a tattoo.

Officers discovered the girl was only 15, the report states. It is illegal for someone under age 18 to get a tattoo. They also discovered Varnadore was not licensed by state’s Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Inside the room, officers seized two tattoo machines, a foot pedal, bottles of ink and needles, the report states. Varnadore was then arrested and charged.

Varnadore was booked at the Moss Justice Center on a $3,000 bond.
